Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Single Dashboard (“we,” “us,” “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website SingleDashboard.com and use our Single Dashboard service (the “Service”). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the site or use the Service.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Effective Date” of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Service after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Service includes:

  • Personal Data: Personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, and potentially payment information (handled securely by our third-party payment processor – see below), that you voluntarily give to us when you register for the Service or choose to participate in various activities related to the Service.
  • Derivative Data: Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Service, such as your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, your access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the Service.
  • Dashboard Configuration Data: Information about how you configure your dashboards, including widget types, positions, sizes, background choices, and specific settings within widgets (like URLs for Web Page Embeds, locations for Weather, etc.). This data is necessary to provide the core functionality of the Service and restore your view.
  • User-Generated Content: Information you create and store within specific widgets provided by us, such as notes in the Notepad widget or tasks in the Todo List widget. This data is stored securely in our database.
  • Third-Party Service Data (via OAuth): When you connect third-party services (like Gmail, Google Calendar, Asana, Trello, etc.) using OAuth 2.0, we receive an authorization token from that service. This token allows us to request and display information on your behalf directly from the third-party service within the relevant widget. We do not see or store your passwords for these third-party services. The content fetched from these services (e.g., email subjects, calendar events, tasks) is generally displayed in real-time and is not stored on our servers, except potentially temporary caching for performance improvements, which is cleared regularly.

3. How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Service to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Save and restore your dashboard layouts and configurations.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions (via our payment processor).
  • Communicate with you, including responding to your comments, questions, and requests; providing customer service and support; and sending you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
  • Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the Service.
  • Develop new features, widgets, and services.
  • Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.
  • Enforce our Terms & Conditions.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

  • By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
  • Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including Stripe payment processing), data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service, and marketing assistance. These providers will only have access to the information necessary to perform their functions and are obligated to protect your data.
  • Third-Party Integrations (OAuth): When you authorize a connection to a third-party service, you are authorizing that service to share certain information with us (as defined by their authorization screen) and authorizing us to display data from that service. We do not share your Single Dashboard account data back to these services unless explicitly required for the integration’s function (and disclosed during authorization). We do not share the content fetched from one third-party service (e.g., Gmail content) with another third-party service.
  • Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
  • With Your Consent: We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. We utilize secure protocols like HTTPS for data transmission. For third-party integrations, we rely on the secure OAuth 2.0 standard, ensuring you authenticate directly with the service provider. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.

6. Third-Party Services and Integrations

Our Service allows you to integrate with various third-party applications and services (e.g., Google, Asana, Trello, Figma). Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of service. When you connect these services via OAuth 2.0, you grant us permission to access specific data according to the permissions displayed by the third-party service during the authorization process. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party services.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and other tracking technologies on the Service to help customize the Service and improve your experience. When you access the Service, your personal information is not collected through the use of tracking technology. Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default. You can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies. Please note that if you choose to remove or reject cookies, this could affect the availability and functionality of the Service (e.g., keeping you logged in).

9. Data Retention

We will retain your Personal Data and Dashboard Configuration Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, such as maintaining your account and providing the Service. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. User-Generated Content within widgets like Notepad or Todo lists is retained as long as your account is active or until you delete the content or your account.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under the relevant age without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
